The Confirm Plan Location map viewer overlays the linework from the uploaded CAD file into a web map so that its location can be verified relative to the cadastral fabric for the Province of Alberta. If the plan appears on the map in a grossly different location than expected, it could be for one of the following reasons:


  1. The CAD file has an assigned projection which is different than the one intended for the file and stated in the plan image. In AutoCAD, the CAD file's assigned projection is displayed on the bottom of the screen, as shown in the example below.
