The Dimension check is used to match and compare line and arc lengths against their associated dimension text based on proximity. While attempting to measure arc lengths, line lengths and distance between IP symbols, there may be mismatches due to various scenarios; the relative distance between text and lines being compared, lead lines, types of symbols used, lines being broken or not broken, and elements drawn on incorrect layers. These issues may lead to incorrect text/line associations. The following examples illustrate potential mismatch issues.
A) Leader Line (Arrow Shaft)
B) Incorrect Layer
C) Monument Plans
Monument plans are not validated by the Dimension check. The Dimension check table on the Validate Plan page will display blank results on screen and in the CSV file that can be emailed upon request. At this point, click Next to proceed to the Confirm Plan Location page.
